Glasgow Rocks forward Tommy Freeman insists his side won't be dishing out the holiday spirit when they visit Sheffield Sharks tonight.

A sixth win in eight games would move Sterling Davis' men onto the shoulders of the BBL's top five before getting a nine-day festive break.

But with Glasgow's away form undermining their title hopes, Freeman claims the Cup finalists must become road warriors and banish all thoughts of their upcoming respite.

"It will be a physical game and games around the holidays are always a little more difficult," he said. "Players' minds tend to wander and it becomes all about if you're a team that wants to be there or are you a team that is thinking about your Christmas plans.

"It will be another long bus journey and then they have veterans such as Mike Tuck, BJ Holmes and Olu Babalola that know how to play with each other."

Sheffield, who lie fourth from bottom after a torrid start, will pit Tuck against his old high school Kieron Achara with the Scot featuring along side his Sharks foe during a teenage spell in Maine 12 years ago.
