Stef Reid admitted that she can finally call herself a champion after topping the podium at the IPC European Championships.

The 29-year-old thrilled Hampden at the Sainsbury's Glasgow Grand Prix last month by setting a world record leap of 5.47 metres in the T44 long jump, but headed to Swansea with the aim of making her championship credentials official.

"This is my first title," said Reid. "After having such a good year last year I was glad that I could prove to myself that I can deliver when it matters."
