Benjamin Macome was an injury absentee for Argentina yesterday as his national team trained together for the first time ahead of Saturday's viagogo Autumn Test against Scotland.

The Pumas have lost the services of forward trio Juan Fernandez Lobbe, Juan Manuel Leguizamon and Guido Petti already and last night were awaiting test results after Macome damaged his hamstring in Bayonne's 24-13 victory over Clermont.

Daniel Hourcade, the Argentina head coach, has watched helplessly as his original 30-man tour squad has been depleted since he made his selection last month. It appears Macome, the 21-time capped wing-forward, is certain to miss his country's visit to BT Murrayfield this weekend. It remains to be seen whether the 28-year-old will also be forced to sit out the following Tests against Italy and France.
