Dan Biggar scored 25 points as the Ospreys reached the RaboDirect Pro12 final with a commanding 45-10 victory over defending champions Munster.

It was Biggar that scored the first try for his side, before supplementing his personal tally with four penalties and four conversions.

Further tries from Kahn Fotuali'i, Hanno Dirksen, Andrew Bishop and Rhys Webb completed the semi-final rout. They had fallen behind to a try from Ian Keatley, the Munster fly-half, who also added the conversion and a penalty. It was a solid start but it ended in ignominy, with head coach Tony McGahan departing for his new role with Australia.

Munster are a formidable force, yet they struggled to find a way past a dogged Ospreys defence. They left the fancy stuff to Biggar; scoring his try after nine minutes, clutching Ryan Jones' neat offload out of the tackle to find his inside run over the line.

Keatley and Biggar traded penalties before Munster were forced into a reshuffle as injury forced Johne Murphy off, with Ronan O'Gara coming on. The celebrated Irishman came into an increasingly heated field of battle, with a number of instances of illegal ruck work.

Biggar was unperturbed, though, putting his side ahead with a penalty after half an hour. Munster edged ahead through Fotuali'i but Biggar continued to show his penalty prowess.

The Ospreys made the game safe with 54 minutes on the clock with Dirksen giving the hosts a 31-10 advantage. Bishop wriggled through a tackle under the posts for a fourth try and Webb completed the scoring.
