EDINBURGH last night swooped to sign Tongan World Cup speed merchant Will Helu from London Wasps.

The winger - who has made 19 Test appearances - will link up with the Gunners during the summer. Helu, who claimed a haul of seven tries during Wasps progression to the European Challenge Cup semi-finals last season, was also in the Tongan line-up that beat Scotland at Pittodrie more than two years ago. The other highlight of his big-stage career was beating France in the World Cup in New Zealand in 2011. Helu said: "I jumped at the chance to move to Edinburgh, after meeting coach Alan Solomons. "I liked what he told me about the potential of the club - and obviously the guys are doing well, especially winning the 1872 Cup last weekend. "I think I've a lot to give on the field - a lot of ball in hand, running rugby. "It will also be good to play alongside Neil Cochrane again after we were at Wasps together. "A familiar face will help be settle in." Solomons has also snapped up Scottish Rugby Academy lock Magnus Bradbury on a two-year deal. The 19 year old from Oban has worked his way through the age grades for Glasgow, then Edinburgh and is part of the current national Under-20 squad. Bradbury made his full pro team debut for the club in October's Pro12 tussle with champions Leinster in Dublin. He said: "It was a great experience and really opened my eyes to the intensity of the pro game. "Training with the guys is one thing but that game was a snapshot of what a step up it is. "This is something I've been working towards for years and I just want to keep on pushing, training to the best of my ability and to keep on raising my game."
