DOUBLE try hero Stuart Hogg pointed to Glasgow Warriors' resilience and determination as two of the main positives from their 39-21 bonus-point win over Connacht at Scotstoun on Friday night.
The Scotland full-back scored in each half as the Scotstoun club made it four wins from four matches in the Guinness PRO12 ahead of their trip to Italy to face bottom side Benetton Treviso next Sunday.
Connacht proved tough to shake off as they attempted to maintain their own 100% record, but Gregor Townsend's team dug deep.
Mark Bennett, man-of-the-match Henry Pyrgos and DTH Van Der Merwe also crossed the line for Glasgow with Duncan Weir adding four out of five conversions plus two penalties to see off the Irish side.
"I thought the boys played really well into the wind in the second half," Hogg said. "We talked about getting round the corner and beating them there and carrying the ball hard into the guts. In the second half that's exactly what we did and we came away with a positive result in the end. Connacht will always fight back.
"You get ahead, they come back at you, you go ahead again, they come back once more. They are a tough team to play against and we knew all week that was the way the game would go."
Talking about his tries - Hogg opened the scoring in the 18th minute and went over again in the 47th minute - the 22-year-old said: "The first one was a great platform to play off.
"We saw there was space on the left- hand side and thankfully we took our chance and got down in the corner. It was just good to get points on the board.
"For the second I think it was James Downey who gave the ball to Mark Bennett and his cracking off-load meant I just had to finish it off. The space was on again and we got the ball there which is exactly what we're after. To finish off with seven points [Bennett's late try converted by Weir] was a dream result."
