McLauchlan: ‘Scottish Rugby plc has opened up for business again after McKie departure’

The resignation of Gordon McKie from his post as chief executive of Scottish Rugby was vital to the good of the sport, the president of the organisation has admitted.

Speaking from Italy, where he was attending Scotland’s meeting with England in the Junior World Championships before heading back home for today’s latest emergency meeting of the Murrayfield board, Ian McLauchlan said he believes McKie’s departure will allow a much-needed reassessment of priorities.
