n Kelly Brown, the Scotland internationalist, last night agreed a fresh deal with Saracens.

The breakaway forward, who is currently recovering from a leg operation, will stay at Vicarage Road for at least two more seasons.

Brown said: "The move south has worked out well for me, my wife and our two young children, on and off the field."

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall added: "Kelly is an outstanding international rugby player, who has been brilliant for Saracens. We are delighted he has committed his future to the club."

Brown had been due to lead Scotland in their Six Nations campaign, but suffered a serious shin injury just a week before the opening match, against England at Murrayfield.
