That much is at stake when they take on Wales in Cardiff, after an ugly few days for the national side. They began with high expectations of what the Scots could do against England in last weekend's opener only for the match to end in a defeat that was followed within 48 hours by their playmaker, Dan Parks, quitting Test rugby.
