Scotland U20 62 Samoa U20 28: Nine-try Scotland 'destroy' Samoan forwards

Scotland signed off their IRB Junior World Championship campaign in spectacular fashion with a massive win over Samoa at the University of the Western Cape yesterday.

They finish the tournament in ninth place, one above their initial seeding.

The quality of the Scots' performances, after recovery from a heavy defeat by Australia in the opening round, had suggested a win over Samoa, but the margin of victory was beyond even the most optimistic estimate. Scotland ran in nine tries to hoist their total in the tournament to 21, with their brand of attacking rugby complemented by excellent set-piece work that enabled them to dominate the game.
