He has demonstrated his confidence in the players outside his core group by bringing in the 23-year-old Peter Jericevich from Ayr. The scrum-half has been combining work with training with the sevens squad all season. Greening, the former England hooker who went on to be assistant coach with his native country's sevens team, said he had no hesitation in drafting him into the squad for his first test as the man in charge of Scotland, the opening round of the Sevens World Series in Australia.
