IN addition to Gala's excellent victory over London Scottish, two more Scottish sides recorded wins on a superb first afternoon of the British & Irish Cup yesterday, with Stirling County and Melrose defeating Neath and Doncaster Knights respectively in their pool matches.
Dundee HSFP, the fourth Scottish team in the event, battled hard in Wales, but lost 43-17 to Swansea.
In their first match at this level, Stirling were on fire at Bridehaugh to see off their Welsh opponents 40-25.
