Turner replaces Scott as Wright plumps for same again against Samoa

Peter Wright, the head coach, has named an almost identical Scotland Under-20 team to the side that started against Italy for their final match in the Junior World Championship, against Samoa at the University of the Western Cape on Friday to decide ninth and 10th places.

The only change is at hooker where Edinburgh apprentice George Turner starts in place of Currie's Fergus Scott, who suffered an injury against Italy and was ruled out of contention for the final game as a result.

It means Scotland will have only one established hooker for this game. "If we need to replace George Turner, then Robin Hislop will step in. He's played there before and we trained with him at hooker today," explained assistant coach, Bryan Easson. "We only got confirmation of Fergus Scott's shoulder strain this morning and it's too late to send out a replacement."For a second successive match, the Scots have opted for the Gala flanker Gary Graham in the second row to partner the impressive Andrew Redmayne, who, along with the No.8 Mitch Eadie, will be making his fifth start in the tournament. Graham and Redmayne will give the Scots added mobility to counter the pace of the Samoans. On the bench, Scotland have named three props in recognition of Samoa's powerful front row, which means a first involvement for Struan Cessford, who was called out to replace the injured Alex Henderson.
