Visser extends stay with Edinburgh

Edinburgh have made a shrewd move by considerably extending Tim Visser's attachment to the club while European rugby's finest finisher is still waiting to complete his three years residency in Scotland that will allow him to play Test rugby at the highest level.

The Dutchman had previously agreed to stay with the club until 2013. However, their management have sensibly used the opportunity provided to talk to him before he is available on the open market to ensure they keep long-term hold of an asset whose value becomes more obvious with every game in which Scotland struggle to score tries.
