First Institute of Bankers graduates

members of the institute will receive their awards.

The ceremony follows an upgrading of the institute's qualifications,

which now count towards some parts of the MBA programmes at Scottish

universities.

During the ceremony, nine fellowships will also be awarded to people

who have made major contributions to the financial services sector or

the work of the institute.

The fellowships will include one woman, Ms Fiona Hynd, who runs the

Clydesdale Bank's training programme, and one academic, Mr Jim Leslie, a

senior lecturer at Heriot Watt University.
