THE Leith Agency has been voted Scotland's top advertising agency in a

three-tiered survey commissioned by Scotmedia Magazine and conducted by

Price Waterhouse and System Three Scotland.

The survey covered financial performance plus client and peer

perception polls.

Mr Gordon Young, editor of Scotmedia, described the Leith as a truly

remarkable business and worthy winners of the title of Scottish

Advertising Agency of the Year. With billings of over #26m, the

Edinburgh agency is also Scotland's biggest-ever advertising agency.

John Denholm, managing director of the winning agency, said: ''I

believe there has never been a better time for Scottish agencies to

expand their businesses throughout the UK. Modesty is an attribute that

perhaps we in Scotland have too much of. I think it's time we recognised

that we are better than we think we are.''
