THE Argyll Group, the Safeway and Presto supermarket chain, has
acquired four stores in the north of Scotland from the Northern
Co-operative Society.
The four supermarkets, which trade as NORCO, are located in Elgin,
Aberdeen, Ellon, and Banchory.
No sum was disclosed for the transaction, which brings the number of
Safeway stores in Scotland to 55 and the number of Presto to 111.
