*THE man who has been at the forefront of the campaign to save
steelmaking in Scotland, former Ravenscraig shop steward Tommy Brennan,
receives an MBE. He served at the works for more than 30 years and
plaudits were as warm from his employers as they were from his workmates
when he left last summer. He said: ''It has been an honour and a
privilege to serve the men who put so much into steelmaking in
Scotland.''
