Two businessmen who took part in massive credit card frauds have been jailed.

Jan Roman Rock and Matthew Watt were directors of Bedlam War Games in Edinburgh.

By making false transactions with a stolen credit card, they poured #53,295 into a company account which they controlled.

Rock, 36, also tried to obtain another #11,637 by fraud and Watt tried to get #5941.

Watt, 45, of Montague Street, Edinburgh, also used a stolen credit card to make payments totall-ing #16,910 into his own account.

A jury found each of the two men guilty of fraud and attempted fraud after a seven-day trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

Rock, of Gloucester Place, Edinburgh, was also found guilty of three further frauds totalling #49,835.

A third man, Kenneth Mackie, 33, of Damhead Holdings, near Loanhead, admitted two of the fraud charges then gave evidence at the trial. He walked free at the end of the trial.

Sheriff Roger Craik QC yesterday jailed Rock for three years and Watt for 18 months.

The sheriff said he was jailing the pair because of the scale and nature of the offences.
