Data published yesterday by the Office for National Statistics showed UK manufacturing output jumped by 1.7% month-on-month in September, having tumbled by 2% in August.
UK manufacturing output rebounded strongly in September – posting its biggest monthly rise since July 2002 and providing further reassurance that August’s tumble resulted mainly from a holiday shutdown of factories.
