Hibernian look well-placed for at least third despite Ibrox defeat

For all he likes to portray himself as the daft laddie fae Leith, there are few Scottish managers as level-headed as John Hughes.

Rarely do you see the Hibernian manager too exuberant in victory, or too despondent in defeat, tending instead to follow Kipling’s advice by treating triumph and disaster just the same.
