The first match that "really mattered", according to Federer, and Murray was well beaten. Federer started superbly and, bar a brief spell in the second set, dominated the match.

The Scot's second Grand Slam final ended as the first had done - in a comprehensive defeat. Even when he belatedly began to threaten he could not convert any of his five set points in the tie-break.
Wimbledon, 2012, F (outdoor/indoor grass) - Federer 4-6 7-5 6-3 6-4
Murray's first Wimbledon final began so well as he nicked the first set and was on top in the second. Rain interrupted play and with the roof overhead the Swiss was unstoppable.
Olympics, 2012, F (outdoor grass) - Murray 6-2 6-1 6-4
Wimbledon defeat was avenged by Murray just a few weeks later - and in spectacular style. In front of a raucous home crowd, Murray claimed gold thanks to a dominant display.

Murray's only Grand Slam win against Federer and the pair's only five-set match. The Scot was a deserved winner who might have won it in four.
ATP World Tour Finals, 2014, RR (indoor hard) - Federer 6-0 6-1
Federer outclassed the Scot at London's O2 Arena with a breathtaking display but this was a tired Murray, who was just two points from suffering a double-bagel defeat.
