JAMIE Murray and John Peers' ATP World Tour Finals campaign is over after they went down 7-6 (5), 6-7 (5), (14-16) to the Bryan brothers in a hugely dramatic match at the o2 Arena last night. With the pair already having said they would go their separate ways at the end of this year - Murray having agreed to play with Bruno Soares and Peers with Henri Kontinen - it is also the last match the pair will play together.

Yet had things gone differently they could well have been continuing in this tournament into the weekend. With Murray in particular playing some inspired tennis, the Scottish/Australian duo raced into a first set lead and just about clung on to take it in a tie-break. They let a 5-3 advantage slip in the second set breaker, and had five match points from a 9-5 lead in the decisive Match Tie Break which they were unable to take advantage of. Peers in particular would love to have a few points again, but after they were eventually undone on the Bryans' fifth match point. Jamie Murray's focus now switches to next weekend's Davis Cup final, where he will be a key part of the Great Britain team which takes on Belgium.
