Novak Djokovic continues to sweep aside all that comes before him as he produced a masterful display to dismiss Tomas Berdych and reach the last four of the Miami Open.

The world number one and top seed is thriving in Florida while a host of other big names have floundered and that continued with a 6-3 6-3 beating of seventh-seed Berdych.

Djokovic was in control from the off and broke early in both sets while also showing his usual steeliness to fight off several break points from Berdych, winning in just over 100 minutes.

It was his 26th victory of the year and the only loss on his record is a quarter-final clash in Dubai when he had to pull out against Feliciano Lopez due to an eye injury.

David Goffin is lying in wait for Djokovic after the Belgian's impressive run of form continued.

Goffin also made the semi-final at Indian Wells and booked his meeting with the world number one after a 3-6 6-2 6-1 beating of Frenchman Gilles Simon.

In the women's event, Great Britain's Johanna Konta is out after defeat to Victoria Azarenka in the quarter-finals.

Konta, who last week reached her highest singles ranking of number 23 in the world, was beaten in straight sets 6-4 6-2.

Azarenka was impressed with her British opponent, though, saying in her court side interview: "She's such a great player and it's interesting to see what sort of player she was last year and playing well here, so I see a lot of potential.

"I couldn't actually get a read on her serve in the beginning - it was tough for me to adjust - but then I got a bit lower and tried to get more returns in, be a bit more aggressive."

Azarenka, who has won twice in Miami before, is gunning for back-to-back WTA Tour titles after success at Indian Wells a fortnight ago and will play Angelique Kerber in the semi-final.

The Australian Open champion booked her place in the last four with a routine 6-3 6-2 victory over Madison Keys.
