ANDY MURRAY will face Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro in the opening rubber of the Davis Cup semi-final tomorrow in a repeat of the Olympic gold medal match.

The Scot came out on top in three sets to successfully defend his men's singles title in Rio this summer before crashing out of the US Open to Kei Nishikori at the quarter-final stage earlier this month.

Kyle Edmund will take on world number 49 Guido Pella in the other singles match on Friday, before the singles match-ups are reversed for Sunday's decisive clashes.

Federico Delbonis and Leonardo Mayer have been nominated to take on the Murray brothers, Jamie and Andy, on Saturday in the doubles event.

Great Britain are aiming to defend the title they won last year, with all three days of action to be hosted at Glasgow's Emirates Arena.

The winner will face either Croatia or France in the final, which is due to be held from 25-27 November.
