Britain's Naomi Broady, the No.3 seed, won through to the quarter-finals of the women's singles at the AEGON GB Pro-Series event at Scotstoun, after a comfortable straight-sets victory over Marta Sirotkina of Russia.
Broady broke serve at 4-4 to take the opening set, losing just one more game as she ran out a 6-4, 6-1 winner.
Teenager Katy Dunne, 19, also reached the last eight after defeating Pernilla Mendesova of the Czech Republic 7-5, 6-4.
In the men's singles, Britain's Edward Corrie produced an upset as he eliminated the fourth seed Andrej Martin (Slovakia) in a close match, the score 6-4, 7-6 (7/5). The all-British clash between Daniel Cox and Daniel Smethurst saw the former prevail in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0.
