NOVAK Djokovic has booked the last place in the quarter-finals, beating Kevin Anderson 7-5 in the final set of their fourth-round match that was suspended on Monday night at two sets apiece.

The top seed had to save two break points early in the set, but then broke his South African opponent in the 11th game before serving out. Djokovic now plays Marin Cilic.

Jamie Murray and John Peers are through to the semi-finals of the doubles after beating Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares in through sets. The Scot and his Australian partner won 6-4, 7-6, 6-3.

Garbine Muguruza of Spain has become the first woman through to the semi-finals after beating Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky 7-5, 6-3. The No 20 seed meets the winner of the match between Agnieszka Radwanska and Madison Keys on Thursday for a place in the final.

Maria Sharapova is also through after beating Coco Vandeweghe in three sets. She now plays the winner of the match between Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka.
