A pensioner who won £1m playing bingo at the weekend is the second seven-figure prize-winner at the same Glasgow hall in just three weeks.
The 69-year-old woman hit the jackpot at the Glasgow Forge bingo hall in the east end of the city on Friday night, on only her second visit to the club.
Her win came just 21 days after Margaret Shearer, 46, became the UK's first bingo millionaire during a lunchtime game at the same Mecca club in Glasgow.
The 69-year-old woman, who does not wish any publicity, is only the third person in the UK, including Ms Shearer, to win £1m since Mecca launched a new nationwide competition at the beginning of September.
The competition only became possible after gaming laws were relaxed to allow bigger prizes in clubs.
The gaming firm had previously estimated that a millionaire would be created every 45 days, but there have now been three in 52 days.
Each win has come on a Friday night, and each time the same bingo caller has been announcing the numbers.
Joe Marshall, 25, the operations manager at the Glasgow Forge Mecca, said: "We expected to make a millionaire once every 45 days, but we have done it twice in 21.
"We always knew it was the luckiest bingo hall and this has just proved it."
Mecca runs 102 bingo halls across the UK, and the millionaire competition is played twice a day at £2 a game.
When Ms Shearer, from Ruchazie in Glasgow, became the first winner of the jackpot she had just lost her job at a biscuit factory three weeks previously.
She has been a member of the bingo club for 30 years where she and her mother, Margaret Money, are regular playing partners.
Will Willard, who works at a branch of Mecca in Cwmbran, Wales, called the numbers, by means of a live link-up, on each of three occasions the £1m jackpot has been won.
He said: "I couldn't believe it when I realised I'd made it three in a row. If it carries on like this I might have to get my voice insured."
