The closest Nicola Sturgeon could come to mustering a mea culpa at First Minister's Questions last week was: "Everybody's projections about oil were wrong." However meek the apology, it was long overdue because the figures weren't just a little wrong; it wasn't a case of this suit is a bit nippy around the waist, or that there's a touch too much salt in that soup.
