Taking pride in our devolution evolution

Let's take as our thought for today a different kind of ministerial statement. Among the myriad voices raised over the Megrahi affair was that of the Rev Ian Galloway, convener of the Kirk's Church and Society Council. He talked of this affair "being a defining moment for us all." And it is. Not just for our standing in the world, about which there is much heated debate; not just for our judicial system, which many have chosen to put in the dock alongside the Justice Secretary - but for devolution and the parliament to which it gave birth.
