A woman flirts with a stripper, heads to his house with him, then decides she doesn't want to go any further and flees. She is attacked in an alley, but can't recall if it was the stripper or someone else. Armed with sketchy information, the police attempt to solve the crime. It's also PC Will Fletcher's first day in CID. He gets a ribbing for his suit, but is soon in the thick of it.
My Name Is Earl, Channel 4, 10.45pm
Jason Lee is brilliant as Earl Hickey, who has now married Billie, played by the lovely Alyssa Milano. As a couple they seem perfect - karma brought them together. So why can't they just get along? As Earl works through his list, he notices that dealing with items where he had wronged or upset a woman helps change Billie's behaviour for the better and improves their relationship. But will it last?

This week's celebrity guests are Davina McCall, Les Dennis, Konnie Huq, Alex Zane and Kirsty Gallacher, competing with a team from Huddersfield.
Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares USA, More4, 9pm
It might be a repeat, but Gordon Ramsay is worth watching a second time around as he collides with Mike, the manager of The Mixing Bowl, a bijou diner in Bellmore, New York. Talented chef Billy and his wife Lisa have a good business, but it's haemorrhaging money by way of Mike's marketing plans. Watch Gordon take Mike down. And create some nice food as well, of course.

Bleak Expectations, Radio 4, 6.30pm
Here begins the second volume of Mark Evans's comic epic portraying Victorian life as Charles Dickens might have viewed it after imbibing too much gin. Anthony Head leads a cast of characters that includes the evil villain Mr Gently Benevolent, who is brought back from the dead by the sinister Sternbeater family to destroy young Mr Pip Bin. Richard Johnson is the venerable narrator, and Geoffrey Whitehead plays the entire Sternbeater dynasty. And at 8.30pm in Analysis, on Radio 4, journalist Frank Gardner reports on former allies of Osama bin Laden who are now working to turn Islamist sentiment against al Qaeda.
