We want to create a united European football family

It is an unlikely partnership. A former footballer and a business lawyer enjoyed shooting the breeze at Gleneagles while shooting over par in 2001 as the international football community met in Scotland. Seven years on, the double act is attempting to steer football on a safe course between the legislation of the European Union and the demands of the clubs.
