Construction of a new public space for Glasgow’s Theatre Royal began today, with Fiona Hyslop MSP there to oversee proceedings. The work is expected to finish in May 2014.
The new public space, which has been designed by architects Page and Park, will be built on the site of the Cafe Royal ‘wing’ of the theatre and is expected to begin emerging from the ground over the next few weeks.
