Award-winning world restaurant giraffe has opened its doors in Glasgow city centre.
The new restaurant, located on the corner of West Regent and West Nile streets, follows the opening of giraffe in Silverburn
The popular eatery says that the freshest ingredients from favoured producers feature in its carefully crafted dishes.
The menu reads like a guidebook of the world's favourite foods. Dishes vary from comforting and familiar classics to global dishes with a 'giraffe' twist for culinary explorers.
The brand new menu includs Salt & Pepper Squid with sriracha & lime aioli, Halloumi Skewers with courgette, pea & mint salad, basil & parsley oil and Firecracker Chicken Katsu in a peanut & coconut curry sauce. There is also giraffe's delicious salads such as the Salmon & Green Veggie or Marrakech Market Salad.
For some, a reason to visit giraffe is to sample their burgers - which might explain why the menu features six varieties of the mighty patty topped with a wealth of flavours from across the world. Meat and two bun fans can keep things simple with "The Giraffe" topped with smoky bacon & mature cheddar; spice it up with the Mexican Chicken with chorizo, manchego, guacamole, roasted corn & tomato relish; or go meat free with the best-selling Falafel Deluxe with grilled pepper, halloumi, carrot, beetroot, tzatziki, red pepper & harissa hummus.
At giraffe, little ones are just as important as the grown-ups and have their very own menu of healthy mini-mains, desserts and drinks complete with puzzles and games to keep them entertained. Try the Kids Burger, Sunny Schnitzel & Salad or Twist & Jive Pasta, followed by a cheeky Banana Split Sundae or Fresh Chopped Fruit Bowl.
Cocktails make their mark with a combination of classics and 'Fresh Mixology'. From the first section cool down expert blends including the Melon Margarita, Mango & Lime Daquiri, Mojito, Melon Margarita and Southern Sour. Or, for something a bit different why not try Rose Collins - with rose syrup, gin & lemon juice. There's also coffee made with hand-picked coffee beans, fresh juices and healthy and refreshing smoothies.
giraffe opens Monday to Saturday 8am-11pm and Sunday 10am-10pm

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
