British Transport Police (BTP) detectives are appealing for information following the theft of a high-value generator in Lanarkshire.

The generator, worth around £20,000, was being used at a railway site at Wildman Road in Carluke. 

It is reported that it was taken from the site on Sunday, November 12, between 5.25pm and 5.40pm.

The vehicle made off via Wildman Road to Station Road and then onto Brownlee Road and Horsley Brae.

Detectives want anyone with any dashcam footage travelling on the route or parked along the route at the time of the theft to come forward.
