Kevin Nisbet dropped out of Millwall's squad on Saturday afternoon after a disciplinary issue, it has emerged.
The Scotland frontman moved from Hibernian to the Den for £2m last summer.
The 27-year-old has scored five goals for the Lions in the Championship this season, however, he played no part in yesterday's 1-0 win over Swansea to bring the curtain down on the Championship season.
Nisbet could still yet be considered for Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for Euro 2024 this summer.
However, manager Neil Harris has revealed that the striker has been banished from his first team fold over an internal matter. Michael Obafemi is on the same boat.
He said: "All I’m going to say is I’m building a culture and an environment at the football club. The standards are set by Neil Harris and Millwall Football Club. These are standards that I expect players to adhere to.
"Players will only be involved at my football club, when I’m in charge, if they hit those standards. It’s all about culture and environment.
"Michael has done brilliantly for us on loan and we’re really thankful for his efforts. He didn’t feature for us off the bench the other day and he wasn’t going to feature today. I’d rather play our own players who have trained impeccably.
"And secondly, with Kevin, it’s a disciplinary matter about culture and standards. There’s no bigger problem moving forward. Kevin is a huge part of our football club moving forward. But it wasn’t right to involve him today so I went with the group that I did."

Meanwhile, a man has been detained by police after allegedly racially abusing Ross County midfielder Yan Dhanda during their 2-1 victory over Hibs.
The former Liverpool youngster spoke to match referee Don Robertson during the first half of the cinch Premiership fixture at the Global Energy Stadium in Dingwall, and Robertson then relayed information to fourth official Greg Soutar.
