WALKER Surgeon Vice Admiral Alasdair James CB OBE QHS FRCS Peacefully at home in Plymouth, on Saturday 1st June 2019, after a fight against brain cancer and with his family around him, Alasdair crost the bar. Alasdair was a former School Captain at The High School of Glasgow (1974), a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow and served in the Royal Navy for 40 years, latterly appointed as The Surgeon General. The funeral will be held at The Minster Church of St Andrew, Royal Parade, Plymouth on Friday 28th June at 10.30am, followed by a private cremation. Uniforms and tartan welcome. No flowers by request but donations to The Brain Tumour Charity may be left as a retiring collection, online at wcpltd.com or sent to Walter C Parson, Plympton, Plymouth, PL7 1QW, Tel: 01752 343848.
