McKIE - John Stewart Died on Saturday 14th March 2020 at home surrounded by his wife Lorna (née McLeod) and his five children, Andrew, Jane, John, David and Polly. Beloved husband, father and father-in-law and cherished Grandpa to Hector, Flora, Jock, Molly, Nancy, Tom, Jimmy, Charlie, George and Tess. Private cremation. Details of memorial service to follow.

Greatly saddened by the loss of John McKie. I never met him but somehow thought of him as a friend. His clever and witty clues made me smile more often than I can remember. He was an unmatched compiler and quite irreplaceable.
