MacRAE - James Smith (Garnethill, Glasgow) Died peacefully at Grange Hall Care Home, Melrose, on 25th May 2020. Born in Perth, Scotland. Raised in Skallary on the Isle of Barra, former pupil at St Aloysius College, Glasgow University 1957-60 (MA Latin & Greek), Primary School Teacher at St Theresa's School in Possilpark, Glasgow 1960-1995, West of Scotland Senior Chess Champion and Representative honours for Scotland at Chess. Dearly loved and sadly missed by his brother Willie, sister Moira and their families. Cremation private.
