MacDONALD - Alastair Birnie Peacefully on 7th September 2020 after a short illness, aged 84. Beloved husband of the late Maureen, loving dad to Neil and Shona, father-in-law to Kristie and Peter and proud Papa of Eilidh, Scott, Gregor and Amy. Due to Covid restrictions a private funeral will be held on 16th September. Sincere thanks to caring staff at Ayr Hospital.

I was sorry to hear the sad news about your Dad and wanted to pass my condolences on to you. I was Leader of the Beginners Sunday School at Portland and have happy memories of you both. Your Dad produced such wonderful Christmas Nativities. I enjoyed having a chat with him when we met in town Thinking of you at this time. Kindest regards Sheila McLean
