JESSIMAN - Douglas Winton Peacefully on Thursday 22nd October 2020, at The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, Glasgow. Beloved son of Beatrice and the late Ian, much loved husband of Elaine, loving father to Robbie and Shona and dear brother of Alastair. Funeral on 5th November, 1pm at Linn Crematorium with limited attendance. Webcast available. Donations instead of flowers, if desired, to cancer charities.

Douglas assisted me over the last 3 years in his capacity as legal adviser to the MDDUS and I will never be able to thank him enough.
He was a brilliant lawyer but also a genuine and caring human being.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and my condolences to his family.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Elaine and family.
Words cannot adequately express my sadness about Douglas' passing. My first contact with Douglas was in 1990 when he was my main point of contact for legal representation on behalf of MDDUS. Always sound advice, support and assistance delivered with patience and understanding. He remained my first port of call for legal assistance for 30 plus years and he always delivered the highest standards of advice.
I am pleased to say that over the years we developed a friendship which I greatly valued because of his sense of humour.. It was a great privilege to know him and time spent in his company was always time well spent.
