(Meams Road, Newton Mearns) Temporary Restriction To Use of Road Order 2022

On the 10 March 2022 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Mearns Road, Newton Mearns in order to facilitate the safe operation of carriageway resurfacing works, programmed to be carried out commencing Monday 25 April with completion by Friday 6 May 2022.

Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the restriction may be permitted during the contractors working hours when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident and essential winter roads maintenance vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes: Mearns Road - A77 Ayr

Road - Eaglesham Road - Mearns Road and vice versa.
