THE A725 AND A7071 TRUNK ROADS (RAITH ROUNDABOUT TO SHAWHEAD) (40MPH AND 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 201
THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under section 84(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing 40mph and 50mph speed limits on various sections of the A725/A726 Shawhead - East Kilbride - Phillipshill Roundabout Trunk road, and the proposed A7071 Bellshill Trunk Road totalling an approximate length of 13.97 kilometres or thereby. Full details of the proposals are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road involved, and a statement of the Scottish Ministers' reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 6 October to 3 November 2017 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF; the offices of North Lanarkshire Council, Civic Centre, Windmillhill Street, Motherwell, ML1 1AB; the offices of North Lanarkshire Council, Municipal Buildings, Kildonan Street, Coatbridge ML5 3BT; the offices of North Lanarkshire Council, Bron Way, Cumbernauld G67 1DZ; the offices of South Lanarkshire Council, Almada Street, Hamilton ML3 0AA; the offices of Glasgow City Council, City Chambers, George Square, Glasgow G2 1DU. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the Chief Road Engineer c/o Allan Roberts, Transport Scotland, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, EH6 6QQ by 3 November 2017.
