What’s the story?

A spelling error has occurred in Line of Duty.

Don’t tell me someone has spelled anti-corruption with a K?

No. It is definately (sic) something else.

You’ve spelled definitely wrong.

Have I?

Meaning?

In last Sunday’s episode, Super Ted Hastings elbowed aside the tech whizz impersonating Mr Big, the primo uno corrupt officer, and took control of the computer. While typing, he spelled definitely incorrectly.

The fella was under pressure!

Yes, but in a previous communication between Mr Big and rogue undercover operative John Corbett, the same word was also spelled wrongly.

So Ted is Mr Big? But wasn’t he the one talking to Mr Big this time?

Someone could have been standing in for him at the other end.

My head hurts. Isn’t this a reach too far?

Creator Jed Mercurio will stop at nothing to keep his secret hidden for as long as possible.

Don’t tell me he’ll be straying into the world of compound adjectives next?

Sarky. The crucial thing is that we note the clue.

That Mercurio doesn’t use a spell-checker?

Oh ye of little fayff.
