BBC crime drama Shetland is set to return for two more series, the broadcaster has announced.
The murder-mystery show, based on the novels of Ann Cleeves, stars Douglas Henshall as DI Jimmy Perez and follows his investigations of criminal activity on the remote islands.

Series six of the popular drama, which also features Alison O’Donnell and Steven Robertson, will start filming in March 2020, Henshall confirmed, with series seven filming in 2021.
Cleeves released the eighth and final book in the series, Wild Fire, last year, saying she “did not want to kill off any more Shetlanders”.
Alongside US historical time-travel drama Outlander, the show has been credited with encouraging a new brand of tourism to some of its filming locations, with thousands of cruise ship passengers arriving on the islands every year.
