What's the story?

Corner Shop Cook-Off.

Great! I love my scran. The lowdown, please.

Foodie Clare Grogan and MasterChef: The Professionals winner Gary Maclean want to show that last-minute convenience shopping doesn't need to equate to lacklustre cuisine.

Excellent. Send them right round.

It's a TV series, not Meals on Wheels.

Pity. I'll just order a takeaway, then. Again.

Hang on. Clare and Gary may have some food for thought.

A culinary pun? I thought better of you.

You ain't got muffin on me. I value our friend chip. Lettuce do our best.

Please stop.

Sorry. I'm fondue you. Corner Shop Cook-Off, which begins on BBC Scotland this Wednesday at 8pm, sees our dynamic duo visit a different corner shop over six weeks to scour the shelves for ingredients and inspiration.

Then what happens?

Gary goes head-to-head with a different guest chef in each episode. They have only £15 apiece to create their three best courses. The chefs also have the chance to use a mystery ingredient chosen by the shop owners which could end up being a help or a hindrance.

What mystery ingredients would you throw in?

Durian. Squid ink. The juice of a freshly squeezed sock.

Challenge accepted.

I can't wait to see what you rustle up.
