Perennial favourite Beechgrove returns with a new series on BBC Scotland, Thursday, 7.30pm. It will be repeated on Sunday mornings on BBC Two. Episodes will air until early autumn.

They've thought of that. The presenters will be giving weekly updates from their own patches around Scotland: Carole Baxter in Aberdeenshire, Brian Cunningham at Scone, Perthshire, and George Anderson and Kirsty Wilson from their respective gardens in Edinburgh.

Beechgrove is encouraging us to roll up our sleeves and get cracking, no matter how small your growing space.
The nation has gone potty for houseplants, which are bigger on Instagram than travel, and Brian will be sharing a new project: Top 10 plants for a bargain border.
