What's the story?

Food and banter.

Let me guess. The Hairy Bikers?

Close. It is a dynamic duo, although in this case Scotland's very own Nick Nairn and Dougie Vipond as they return with a new series of The Great Food Guys.

So, there's no motorcycles?

Sadly not. But they do have a van.

Like my hero Bob Servant?

Again, close. They have borrowed the Landward food van and will be on the road across Scotland (segments shot before lockdown restrictions began) as well as rustling up recipes from a country kitchen in Fettercairn, Aberdeenshire.

The opening episode sees award-winning chef Kaori Simpson from the Harajuku Kitchen in Edinburgh join them, alongside actor Greg McHugh.

And the food?

Asian Fusion is on the menu: Salt chilli squid with a Vietnamese dipping sauce. Ingredients include vegetables from an East Lothian farm and chillies from Langholm in Dumfriesshire.

What else?

Throughout the series, Nairn and Vipond will be joined by well-known faces such as crime author Val McDermid, Still Game's Jane McCarry, comedian farmer Jim Smith, TV presenter JJ Chalmers, Call the Midwife's Laura Main, River City's Sanjeev Kohli and weather presenter Judith Ralston.
