Recruitment firm Page said its UK division had recorded year-on-year profits growth of 5% to £31 million in the July to September period, the best quarterly year-on-year rise since the spring of 2011.
Across the group, the figure was 0.4% higher at £127m but was impacted by a fall of 9.5% in the Asia Pacific region.
