TRACY Black has officially taken over from Hugh Aitken as the CBI’s (Confederation for British Industry) director for Scotland.

Ms Black, who has been in post since January 1, had been shadowing Mr Aitken as deputy regional director since joining the organisation in April as part of succession planning. Born and raised in Scotland, Ms Black had a varied business career at home and abroad before arriving at the CBI, including senior roles in global financial services institutions, smaller business consultants and entrepreneurial start-ups. Mr Aiten will remain part of the CBI team this year, leading ongoing projects and carrying out ambassadorial duties.
